Learning To Read Can Be Exhausting For Children With Dyslexia

You see their many strengths and know they’re capable of learning, yet they continue to struggle in school. Their reading, writing, spelling, and other language skills are likely holding them back from thriving in an academic environment. If your child isn’t responding to the various interventions and extra help provided by their school, then they are a good candidate for academic language therapy.

I provide individualized, prescriptive instruction to students diagnosed with dyslexia or reading impairment so that they can become independent readers and successful students. It will amaze you to watch as their confidence grows in and out of the classroom.

A Bit About Me

I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist

I teach students with learning differences how to read, write and spell. For the past 14 years, I have worked with students diagnosed with a variety of conditions that impact learning including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADD/HD, and other language-based learning disabilities.

I reach students by seeing their potential and acknowledging their gifts. I spend extra time designing individualized lessons that will interest your child and address areas of weakness. While therapy is hard work, it does not have to be drudgery. I utilize a variety of multisensory activities and games to keep students engaged with the lesson while maintaining the therapeutic integrity of the session. I am totally invested in your child’s success and share in their joy as they emerge as independent readers. This is more than a job to me, it’s a life calling.
